On Monday 15th of December we finished our latest book called Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. It was a sad ending for Sadako because she had Leukaemia, caused by the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima and passed away. She was buried with 1000 paper cranes and this true story has become a symbol for world peace.
On Tuesday we watched the children from Reception and Year 1 perform their Christmas sing along. Meanwhile, Miss Toft's English group worked with Miss Arnold from Wade Deacon High School towards a level 5 or 6 in our reading. We also created our own calendars for 2015 and gained inspiration from a Catalan artist called Joan Miro.
On Wednesday we created beautiful Spanish Christmas cards using our Christmas Spanish vocabulary and on Thursday morning we enjoyed a Christmas movie, Home Alone and had a fabulous Christmas party!
This week's blog was created by Dylan, Connor, Mia, Amy and Harry.
